SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1 REHEARSAL & SHOW INFORMATION FOR ALL CAST & CREW

We are looking forward to another fabulous Sunday rehearsal this weekend!

This post includes the Rehearsal Schedule for this Sunday, February 1, as well as important show information. Please read all the way to the very bottom of the post.

What do I need to bring to Sunday rehearsals?

All Cast/Crew Info
  • Please bring script to Sunday rehearsal 
  • Please wear shoes in which you can move and dance (NO BOOTS) 
  • Please bring a water bottle (ALL cast and crew) 
  • Snacks will be provided for ALL cast and crew. 
  • PIZZA LUNCH! 
    • This Sunday, all 3rd grades- 8th graders will be able to purchase pizza for lunch, if they choose. Please bring $1.50 per slice. If you do not wish to purchase pizza, please pack a lunch!

SUNDAY REHEARSAL REMINDERS
  • Please remember this Sunday's LS rehearsal is at the middle school.
  • The entrance for play rehearsal at the middle school is located around the back of the school at the gym doors by the playing field. Please take the side stairwell of the school by the playing field down to the gym doors located at the back of the school.
  • Should you arrive after 10:10 a.m. or need to pick up early, you will need to come into the gym, to pick up your child and sign your child out.
  • For Sunday pick up you will not need to leave your cars, as we will come up to the carpool lane for carpool as a group. Please form a single file line in our carpool lane for pick up. Please pull all the way down to the front lobby doors of the MS for pick up. 

SIZING FORM
If you haven't yet completed the costume/t-shirt sizing form, please do so asap!  If you have any questions, please email Ms. Kendrick at kphillips@davisacademy.org.


TICKETS
All ticketing purchasing will be handled through the online system. You will be able to select your seats, pay online with a credit card, and print out your receipt/ticket confirmation (which will serve as your ticket on the day of the show).  Ticket sales will open online Tuesday, February 10th in the early morning. The school community will be emailed this link in the afternoon, so that the cast members and their families have the opportunity to purchase tickets before the community has this link.

Crew Meeting Sunday 2-1 @9:30

There is a crew only meeting called for this Sunday, February 1 from 9:30am to 10:00 am.  Please bring a pencil and your script to the meeting.

We will be reviewing crew expectations, responsibilites, our job descriptions and tasks thus far, as well as begin discussing and assigning running crew positions.

After the 10am crew only meeting, crew will tasked to their daily list of tasks to be completed. Crew may stay for any duration of the called rehearsal time from 10am until 3:30pm. Whether you can only stay an hour or through until the very end, there are always extensive lists of to dos/ tasks to be completed, never a shortage.  Please speak with Ms. K about any questions you may have regarding crew work or job assignments.

Please RSVP for the 9:30am Sunday crew meeting to Ms. K at kphillips@davisacademy.org  so she may have a head count for breakfast items.

INFORMATION FOR SUNDAY, JANUARY 25 REHEARSAL

Lower school students will have rehearsal from 10:00 – 12:00 in the MIDDLE SCHOOL gym.

What do I need to bring to Sunday rehearsals?

Lower School 1-25-15 Sunday Rehearsal 


  • Please remember this Sunday's LS rehearsal is at the middle school.
  • The entrance for play rehearsal at the middle school is located around the back of the school at the gym doors by the playing field. Please take the side stairwell of the school by the playing field down to the gym doors located at the back of the school.
  • Please pack a water bottle only and a small snack if needed for Sunday. As practice will only be two hours we will not be serving snacks nor having lunch. As the practice time lengthens in the coming weeks we will provide snacks, and beginning in February, we will provide the opportunity for students to purchase pizza. More information about pizza purchasing will come in the week preceding our offering it.
  • Should you arrive after 10:10 a.m. or need to pick up early, you will need to come into the gym, to pick up your child and sign your child out.
  • For Sunday pick up you will not need to leave your cars, as we will come up to the carpool lane for carpool as a group. Please form a single file line in our carpool lane for pick up. Please pull all the way down to the front lobby doors of the MS for pick up. 

Middle School 1-25-15 Sunday Rehearsal


  • Drop off for full cast and crew begins at 10:45 for the crew and 10:55 for the cast. MS Mentors are invited to arrive at 10 to assist with the LS cast. MS Dance Captains and LS rehearsal AD are expected at 10am.
  • The entrance for play rehearsal at the middle school is located around the back of the school at the gym doors by the playing field. Please take the side stairwell of the school by the playing field down to the gym doors located at the back of the school.
  • Please pack a lunch and water bottle for Sunday. Snacks will be provided. (Starting in February, we will have pizza available for those that wish to purchase lunch. )  If you are dropping off a lunch, please drop off the lunch between 12-12:30. Please do not drop off lunches throughout the day at other times, as it is disruptive to the rehearsal process.  
  • Please bring a sweater/sweatshirt as it is sometimes cool in the gym. Make sure your sweater is labeled.
  • Should you arrive after 11:10 a.m. or need to pick up early, you will need to come around to the back of the gym, to pick up your child and sign your child out.
  • For Sunday pick up you will not need to leave your cars, as we will come up to the carpool lane for carpool as a group. Please form a single file line in our carpool lane for pick up.
  • ALL MS thespians should bring their scripts, a pencil, and a device on which to record your singing part/harmonies. Please feel free to bring dance shoes as well.

INFORMATION FOR SUNDAY 1-11-2015

Rehearsals Schedule for this Sunday

We are looking forward to a great first Sunday rehearsal this weekend.

Lower school students will have rehearsal from 10:00 – 12:00 in the LOWER SCHOOL gym.

The Hallelujah girls called for THIS Sunday are all of the 8th grade girls and the Storytellers.
Additional voices (female and/or male) may be added to this song at a later time depending upon fullness of sound we discover during Sunday's rehearsal. MS Duloc Performers and other additional ensemble roles will be discussed and handed out during Sunday's rehearsal and will be posted on the blog post Sunday rehearsal. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL MENTORS WHO WOULD LIKE TO ASSIST AT THE LOWER SCHOOL FIRST MAY ATTEND THE LS REHEARSAL FROM 10am until 11:20am at the LS and then will join the MS rehearsal afterwards. Please email me at kphillips@davisacademy.org to let me know if you are mentoring our LS friends Sunday morning.

      • The entrance for play rehearsal at the lower school is the gym entrance used for Kabbalat Shabbat. Please do not go through the main lobby as there will be other activities going at this time and we want to keep this area clear.
      •   Please pack a water bottle only for Sunday. As practice will only be two hours we will not be serving snacks nor having lunch.  As the practice time lengthens in the coming weeks we will provide snacks, and beginning February we will provide the opportunity for students to purchase pizza. More information about pizza purchasing will come in the week preceding our offering it.
      • Should you arrive after 10:10 a.m. or need to pick up early, you will need to come into the gym, to pick up your child and sign your child out.
      • For Sunday pick up you will not need to leave your cars, as we will come up to the carpool lane for carpool as a group. Please form a single file line in our carpool lane for pick up.

Middle School 1-11-15 Sunday Rehearsal

    •         Please pack a lunch and drink for Sunday. Snacks will be provided (Starting February we will have pizza available for those that wish to purchase lunch)

Once again, all ticket purchasing will be handled through the online system.  You will be able to select your seats, pay online with a credit card, and print out your receipt/ticket confirmation (which will serve as your ticket on the day of the show). Ticket sales will open online Tuesday, February 10th in the early morning. The school community will be emailed this link in the afternoon, which will enable cast members and their families to purchase tickets in the morning before the whole school community has this link. Performance Assignments
All lower school cast members will appear in all 4 shows.
